Step 2: Advance Consultation
Schedule an advance consultation
Applicants can begin scheduling advance consultations beginning November 14, 2011 for the new 2012 deadline by selecting the correct Division contact below (based on their answers to the question on the Step 1 page)
Note: The new grant cycle deadlines change the timeline for contacting the Trust -
- Prospective Health Care Division applicants (statewide), should contact John Fulk, Program Associate, for the Health Care Division, or at 866-551-0690, to discuss your proposal's fit within the Division’s current funding interests.
- Prospective Poor and Needy Division applicants (inside Forsyth County), should contact Joe Crocker, Director of the Poor and Needy Division, or at 336-397-5503 to schedule an advance consult.
Prepare for the advance consultation
- Read the Guidelines for the Division to which you are applying. (Health Care Division Guidelines or Poor and Needy Division Guidelines).
- Develop a one-page summary and preliminary budget for your project.
- If you need directions to our office, click here.
At the advance consultation meeting:
- Discuss your ideas and project proposals
- Program officers give feedback as part of the advance consultation (this is your opportunity to follow-up on recommendations to strengthen your application)
- If the follow-up needed is extensive or the project is early in its development, the program officer may request that you have another advanced consultation prior to submitting your application.
